This painting was inspired by my love of Australian bird life and the beautiful shapes of gum leaves. Also inspired by my teachings of watercolour techniques. What makes this so interesting is the random effects of salt added to still wet watercolour, and also lifting out. I Have a love of colour, especially rainbow colour. Original has been Sold.

German born, but Canadian by nationality, Karin Zeller has been a resident of Melbourne, Australia since 1993. She is self taught artist, but has attended many courses , workshops and classes over the years. Starting out in 1990, creating custom pencil portraits, she honed her skills in realistic portraiture. However, Karin always had a love of colour, and became interested in watercolour. Not long after, and still a relative beginner, she was asked to teach a beginners watercolour class with the local Art Society, where she was a member.
