This painting has just been submitted to Daylesford Clayfire Gallery, so as far as I know it hasn't been sold. It is a typical example of my work and the direction it is headed. This painting invites the viewer to engage with the painting and try to figure out what the story is, and make up their own story.
German born, but Canadian by nationality, Karin Zeller has been a resident of Melbourne, Australia since 1993. She is self taught artist, but has attended many courses , workshops and classes over the years. Starting out in 1990, creating custom pencil portraits, she honed her skills in realistic portraiture. However, Karin always had a love of colour, and became interested in watercolour. Not long after, and still a relative beginner, she was asked to teach a beginners watercolour class with the local Art Society, where she was a member. This was the beginning for her teaching art classes and workshops. Karin attended a weekly life drawing and painting classes for many years. She has dabbled in all mediums, but prefers...
